Dallas today is a cosmopolitan city known for its high concentration of restaurants and shopping centers. Skyscrapers, such as Bank of America Plaza and Reunion Tower, create a striking night skyline.
When I started this venture of real estate and investing, I quickly realized the need for dedication and integrity in this business. I wanted to be able to provide a service to people that they thought was not possible. The human touch to be exact, to make them feel heard and vision understood. With the help of a 20 year experienced and nationally recognized broker, My husband and I were able to create RML Group-Universal Realty Texas. With the same passion and goals, we can present first-time homeowners opportunities they thought were not possible for them. We also provide excellent…
Being a new mother of two and a military wife came with a list of new challenges to face. After struggling with postpartum depression I felt the need to grow into something more to change my state of mind. I have always loved to dress up and express myself through apparel, hair, and makeup. It made me feel good to see myself as a successful wife and mother and I wanted to share my outlet with women alike facing my same struggles. I decided to invest some money into myself and start my own online boutique. I named my store,…
From a very young age, my parents have always supported my dreams, no matter how crazy big they are. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a belief that anything is possible with hard work and a good support system. Life is so short, and I want to create a life & career that I’m passionate about. I’ve achieved some huge goals for myself over the past few years that I am really proud of. I published my first book in November 2019, released my first song in January 2020, and in 2017 I started my wedding hair and…
Originally a high school drop out, but went back and graduated. Hitched a ride to design school 13 hours away with only a couple/few hundred dollars in my pocket and with a lady, I met the day before. Was terrible at art while in college, and the professors even questioned my major choice. But I tackled it through technical know how until the creativity came (much later). I almost dropped out, but stuck with it, and learned the software as best as I could. Worked three jobs, 35-45 hrs./week for scholarship money and a little bit of money to survive…

I have always had a passion for helping others reach their potential. At the core, I see it as me giving back what so many gave to me. This passion started as far back as high school and continued into college, then into my full-time corporate career. When I started a career in Human Resources, this knowledge helped me tap into that passion even further. People would ask me for career advice, or to give them feedback on their resume’. I enjoyed doing it. As the requests became more frequent, I decided to turn this passion into a business. I…
I am so excited to share my story and how Douglas Dwellings got started. As former Assistant Principal in the DFW area, I had the opportunity of meeting so many different families over the years, and I was able to get a glimpse of the disparities regarding housing in so many of my students. I had students that lived in very affluent areas as well as students that lived in low-income areas with limited resources. I remember having a student that told me he lived in a 1 bed apartment with his mom, 2 siblings, aunt, and 3 cousins. He…
Well I started doing music in the church. I taught myself how to play the drums at 3 & I’ve never had a vocal coach. So I have just improved on my own sound over the yrs. to reach the level I’m at today. I learned the guitar in high school. So you can say I’m a jack of many trades. Not all of them just yet tho lol.
I have always had a love for the arts, from elementary school art class, playing clarinet throughout middle and high school, then dance, photography, and film. High school is when I really got into photography and filmmaking. I was the band historian for three years and took my high school’s photography and video production courses. Like a lot of high school students, I didn’t really know what to do when I got into college, and I wasn’t particularly good at anything else, so I decided pursue my passion for creating art as a career. During my college career, I took…
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri; the oldest of six children and the product of a single-parent household. I'm a military brat as my father served in the army when I was a child. I grew up in a hostile environment. I remember several abusive incidents as if they happened yesterday. My parents divorced when I was ten or eleven years old and my mother worked two jobs for a very long time. Though she struggled and we often felt the impact of her struggle, we had what we needed. I would say we turned out to…
