Meet George Zavulunov of Elegant Gents Barbershop
I’m the owner at Elegant Gents Barbershop. I am a 3rd generation barber who started my journey back in 2006 at Paradise Valley Barbershop. In July 2019, I decided to start a new venture and open my very first barbershop, Elegant Gents Barbershop on 12020 N. 32nd St Phoenix AZ 85028.
With the support of my family, my previous loyal clientele and of course the neighborhood around the barbershop, I hope to bring elegance and to help our clients look and feel their best with every haircut and/or shave.
Starting a new business is always a struggle. When I started, the first 3 to 4 months were hard. Business was slow and not many people knew that there is a barbershop in the area. I’m open seven days which means I’m working seven days. Not having a day off is making it hard since I’m married and have two little boys. Over time I’m seeing business picking up a little. There is still some more growing that needs to be done before I start taking some time off. More and more people are finding out about the barbershop and my skill so business is growing.
I own a barbershop and I specialize in any type of haircuts. I do all types of fades, flattops, ethnic hair, military fades, beard trims, kid’s haircuts, facials, and hot shave with a straight edge razor. Every haircut comes with a neck shave and massage. I’m known for my skill in using scissors. People call me samurai George since I’m good and fast with scissors. My barbershop sets apart from any franchise haircut places because the look of my shop is old school.
