Meet Bianca Rugimbana of BMRPR
As an Australian born and raised, I moved to Georgia in 2006 on a tennis scholarship to pursue a Communications degree (with a love for the entertainment industry) and now here we are. My first interaction with the music industry was in 2006 with Young Jeezy’s CTE label for a brief stint, before working with an accomplished bi-coastal celebrity publicist, Penelope Jean.
In 2010, I graduated from Georgetown College, KY with a Communications degree before returning home to Australia where I pursued a law degree and graduated in 2014. Despite working a 9-5 for years, the passion I had for having my own business and becoming a successful celebrity publicist in the music industry stuck with me and so I decided to pursue it more proactively.
In 2015, I came across a NYC management company, Digital Launch, headed by Elis Pacheco, an industry executive with decades of experience and it was through Elis and his team, I was able to work on my first music tour in Australia, assisting with publicity for Fat Joe’s 2016 Australian tour. From here, the domino effect started.
I went from working on Joe’s tour to assisting other publicists in Australia on the YG tour and Migos’ first tour in 2017. Slowly but surely building relationships in the industry, I then began to gain experience working with other major artists in the US, all while residing in Australia.
In 2019, I worked with Boosie Badazz’s team and am currently the International Publicist for South Coast Music Group, a record label out of Charlotte, NC who founded DaBaby and has produced other great talents such as Blacc Zacc, Toosii and Big Mali. Owned by Arnold Taylor, this is a label that I am proud to work with after 4 years of building relationships and slowly working my way up the industry ladder. CEO, Arnold Taylor has not only been a supportive mentor but is certainly a label executive who continues to provide ongoing support for his entire team, whether you’re an artist, fellow executive, assistant and in my case, a publicist. After years of working with a number of talented artists, it’s great to be able to have a solid team and label that I can continue to grow my career with.
In 2019, I was invited to attend the iHeart Music Radio Awards and now we are in 2020, BMRPR.com continues to celebrate little wins and achievements. This year, the business will launch a social media influencer program aimed at connecting influencers with brands around the world, and for those independent music artists, I will be launching an audio book to assist them in leveraging their talents and taking their careers to the next level through successful marketing, promotion and public relations techniques.
Being Australian based, as you can imagine it has not been a road easily traveled, however, I have been able to strategically network and research on the best possible ways to not only get results for clients, but also continue growing the business and elevating as a business woman personally.
As a woman in the industry, there can also be challenges but I am a firm believer in good, honest business, remaining true to who you are, manifesting the things you want and sharing positive energy with everyone you encounter, no matter the experience or things that may transpire. All of these things have allowed me to be in the position I am today.
BMRPR.com is an agency specializing in public relations, marketing and branding. BMRPR has worked on a variety of projects and collaborations at all levels and is dedicated to ensuring the success of each individual person and project we have the opportunity to work with or on, handling each individual project, event, opportunity and client, with professionalism, care, and originality. BMRPR has built a solid reputation and have developed great relationships and contacts within the entertainment and music industry.
Personally, I also pride the business on the fact that it was built from the ground up through nothing but hard work, late nights, personal research and being relentless each day – no matter how many “NO’s” or failures came my way. Being based in Australia and working solely with US clients, means working around the clock, sometimes meaning traveling back and forth to the US and often meeting deadlines that require 24 hours with no sleep. So, I certainly pride myself on being able to deliver those results despite the distance. No matter what has to be done, BMRPR.com won’t stop until we’re able to achieve that result for each client.
Success comes in many forms. Something as simple as waking up earlier to exercise or overcoming a fear is still a success. A successful person to me is someone who never gives up or waivers despite the result, in business and in life. As human beings, we will always fail and go through difficult times but it’s how you bounce back and your attitude towards each failure that ultimately contributes to your mindset and your overall success. It’s all about your attitude. We all have different journeys, different peak times and different ways of achieving ‘wins’. Success is measured by your approach to these things which will ultimately help you to grow within your journey.
