Meet Terry Milla of 100 Trillion Entertainment
I’ve been in this music game my whole life. I was about 12 when I started rapping and 14 when I got my first contract with Ghetto Records. That was in the “Golden Era” of hip-hop and I’ve seen the world and the whole game change. I got placements on TV, a video game, a movie, and traveled internationally to perform for large audiences. I got the coveted “Unsigned Hype” section in Source Mag in 2001. Common, Biggie, & Eminem all received the same honor.
I had major deals on the table at that time but 9/11 happened and the deals didn’t happen. I also turned down different deals with major labels and producers that many would have jumped at. I always wanted to preserve the quality and soul of the music while the labels wanted to exploit it to the fullest until I ran out of hits. Then they can go find another talented artist to leech on to.
I started my own entertainment company, 100 Trillion Ent. to offer what I feel is missing in the business: integrity, favorable deal terms, & giving artists room to be genuinely creative. I’m the first artist on the roster, Terry Milla.
You know they say, “life is a journey, not a destination”. It’s been a lot of twists and turns but as long as I get to where I want to be it doesn’t matter. I learned a lot along the way and have some great relationships, accomplishments, experiences, & memories.
100 Trillion Entertainment = Keep it 100 + Keep it Trill + the fact that each human being has 50-120 trillion cells in their bodies. We round it off at 100 Trillion and it means that we are truly Limitless in potential.
Terry Milla is our flagship artist because he stands for what he believes, always delivers quality & innovative music, and says what many think but dare not to say. Our aim is to change the rap game, literally. Change the rapper and you change the world cuz “Hip Hop Makes the World Go Round” (another Terry Milla song coming soon). Negativity is everywhere but we believe you can make a hit record without having a criminal record. You can be dope without promoting behavior that’s counterproductive to the hood and the youth.
In a world where most are looking for a “type beat” to sound like ‘such and such” we only release music that is authentic and original.
The website, 100trill.com also has merch, beats, plant-based recipes, martial arts videos/training, and resources to sh*! people actually need and can use to learn something or help take their game to another level.
This is a great question. Many people define success as having a lotta money. You can get a bag full of money and still have a poverty mindset. That is not a success. You can have a mansion and a maybach but bad health and you can’t enjoy it. You can have all the money in the world but if you compromised your integrity or betrayed your people to get it, are you truly wealthy?
Robin Sharma talks about Heartset, Healthset, Mindset, & Soulset. Success to me is deliberately designing your own life the way you want it that also inspires and helps others. Earl Nightingale defined success as the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. I think that’s the way to look at it. Setting a goal, working towards that goal, then realizing that goal.
Terry Milla has a song called “Tha Worldz Are Yourz”. That’s “Worldz” plural. I want success on all levels. Abundance, peace, family, friends, wisdom, strength, impact. Success is a daily process based on the decisions you make. The system of success is working towards worthy goals consistently.
