What is Buzz Talent ?
Buzz Talent is a professional Talent Management company.  Our headquarters are in Los Angeles, however, we recruit talent world-wide.  As a management firm we will help to define your goals and dreams.  We will assess your skills, talents, motivation and availability before signing you to a contract.  If you are under 18 we will need to speak with your parent or guardian to be sure that they too will participate in the process. (Contact Us)

Once we sign you to a management contract our goal is to help you leap over obstacles, get you represented by an Agent and tune your skills and talents so that you are marketable.  Without our expertise on your side you could flounder and cut your potential career short.

Are Modeling and Acting Schools Important?
It really depends upon the person. Basic training can be very helpful, it allows you to be prepared from the moment you walk in to an agents office.

Training also prepares you for being in front of the camera and occasionally helps with introduction to agents.

At Buzz Talent we believe that there is a "talent success triangle" that all aspiring Models and Actors should complete before looking for work, (see image below).

For both Models and Actors, training can be supplemented and/or replaced with actual experience, either school or community theatre are very valid ways to get experience.  (You may also find local businesses willing to use you as a model for advertising.)

Training/School and Self-Promotion are critical to getting and Agent/Manager, they are the base of the triangle that will help you succeed!

I want to be an Actor/Model but I am not comfortable with the idea of having my photograph posted on the web with and vital information. What Should I do?
Your concern is not a unique. Many people don't like the idea of "mass" exposure, and so this is not how we do things. Your portfolio can be shared with prospective employers only by you and it is only available to verified Agents, Managers, Casting Directors and Producers via Talent-Exchange.com.

Furthermore none of your contact information is viewable by anyone, simply review your portfolio and you will notice that there is no way for anyone to contact you directly, we forward any request that we receive to you and will not release your contact information to anyone.

What is the difference between an Agent and a Manager?
Simply put, an Agent gets a Talent work while a Manager shapes a Talent's career.   An Agent may provide you with one hundred parts that need to be cast and you might be right for, whereas, a Manager will assist in sifting through those 100 parts so that you can be best prepared for the 5 or 10 roles that would be perfect for you.  You can think of a manager as an Advisor and Mentor.  The Manager should also work to get you in front of Agents, they may also attend photo shots, screen tests and publicity junkets in order to make the process easier for the Talent.

How much should I pay an Agent or Manger?
Nothing. You should never pay an Agent or Manager fees.  Both Agents and Managers earn a commission from the work that you do.  When you get "signed", this means that you sign a contract stating that you agree to give your representative a portion of all your earnings for a specified period of time, is when Agents and Managers earn their commissions.  This amount ranges from 10% to 25%, (agents legally are restricted to a maximum of 10% commission, this varies somewhat by state).

Does Buzz Talent charge any fees?
We do not charge any fees.  What we do is provide aspiring and working talent with access to a widely used internet service called "Talent-Exchange.com".   We require that all aspiring talent utilize this service for 3 primary reasons.

First and foremost, Talent-Exchange.com offers a wonderful service that enables aspiring talent to level the playing field regardless of where they live.  There is tremendous value in the service they provide.  For less than $10 per month you get an electronic portfolio, a unique web address (yourname.actorportfolio.com) and access to their complete career management center with to many resources to list.

Second, Buzz Talent does not have the resources to provide quality representation to the thousands of people that approach us each week and do not want to turn away those that truly have the motivation.

Basically, anyone not motivated enough or willing to invest $100 in themselves or their child really does not want to succeed in the entertainment industry.  People regularly spend thousands of dollars making a trip to see agents, managers, casting directors and producers in  Los Angeles - we feel that anyone not willing to commit the nominal $100 annual fee probably won't make it anyway.

Finally, When Buzz Talent does "sign" a new talent we require that they subscribe to the service.  When we want to introduce a new talent to an Agent or Casting Director we ask that they review the portfolio online.   This cuts down on the costs and paperwork both on our side and on the Casting Directors side.

How old do I need to be for you to represent me?
Children should be at least 4 years old, however, anyone under the age of 18 will need to have their  parent or guardians involvement.  If you are under 18 be sure to ask your parent to review the materials at this site and contact us to proceed.

What are the qualifications to be a Model or Actor?
There are some pretty standard qualities that Agents look for in a new Talent.   We recommend that you use our free, no obligation, Career Advisor tool to see where your best opportunities are.  Click here to begin!

To whom should I submit my pictures?
All photo submissions should include your date of birth, measurements, city and state where you live and parental contact information if you are under 18 years of age. The photos should be clear and may include a headshot, three-quarter shot and full-length shot, (bikini's, shorts and form-fitting outfits are acceptable, no nude or artistic photos please).
